Lisa B. Smith, RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
“Passionately guiding people toward their optimal health and wellness for over 20 years.”
Lisa earned a BS degree in Communication Disorders with a music minor from Emerson College.
She decided on a route to nutrition and health via a family crisis; her father had quintuple by-pass surgery at the young age of 55.
While visiting him in the hospital, she met with a dietitian and found that her love of food and nutrition could become her career.
She studied nutrition at Hunter College in NYC and came to Colorado via an internship through UNC in Greeley.
Since 1994, Lisa’s guiding principles have been professionalism and zest for life.
She knows that individuals can use food and nutrition to develop wellness and focus on disease prevention.
Before coming to Mt. View TLC, Lisa has assisted patients with multiple needs in a variety of healthcare settings, including in acute care, long term care and rehabilitation.
Working with clients to regulate blood sugar levels, assisting patients with diet and nutrition for heart and kidney health, helping those with varying gastrointestinal issues identify and control their symptoms as well as working with clients to aid in weight reduction or weight gain are a few of her areas of specialty.
Lisa has a personal interest in sports nutrition and a holistic approach to health and wellness in mind, body and spirit.
